BATIK PRINTING

Last week I did some batik printing.I did it during my arts club co-curricular meeting.batik printing is easy to do.

    First,you must wash the cloth to get an even printing.next,you have to prepare the printing block.I used printing block from the school.you have to dip the block into the hot melted wax.Then print the design onto the cloth.when you lift the block you can see the design of the wax.After that,dye the cloth in your favourite colour and dry it under the sun for about an hour.

   You have to keep on printing the design and then dyeing the cloth with different colours.Every time you dye the cloth,you have to dry it.you have to do this until the design is complete.

  The next thing to do is to remove the wax.to do this,you have to boil the cloth in hot boiling water for about ten minutes.the wax will melt and the cloth will be clean.Finally,dry the cloth under the hot sun and you will get o pretty design.
