The storm came down hard on the normally tranquil countryside. Ferocious winds and lashing rain caused the plants and trees to bend precariously to one side. It was a display of nature`s awesome power.
One old and tall coconut tree just could not withstand the winds and it toppled heavily onto the road below, totally blocking it. For as long as the storm persisted the road impassable to traffic of any kind.
Finally the storm ceased out but the road was still blocked The traffic came to a standstill on both sides of the road. The drivers came out to survey the situation.
How were they going to get past?
Fortunately some very helpful villagers stayed nearby. They brought an axe and
a saw to cut the trunk of the coconut tree. It was hard work, but eventually the villagers managed to cut the the trunk into asmaller pieces. They then carried the pices to the side of the road.
With the road cleared, the grateful motorists proceeded on their way.
